Description

THE MYTH IS HERE

For a long time, the Falco collection was lacking two things: a fast shooting recurved longbow, and a longbow to fit the ~60″ length range. The Myth is our answer to both of these gaps – compared to is shorter, wider and slightly recurved. The Myth is really the perfect mid-range longbow, suitable for casual archery, 3D and hunting. Depending on your draw length and use case you can choose between the 61″, 62″ or 64″ length.

As all Falco longbows, the Myth is hand-made in our workshop in Estonia to every last detail. And details is where the attention has really gone on this model. We pay particular attention to rounding all corners, making aesthetically pleasing tips, finishing each bow with impeccable lacquer quality, all the while keeping the bow profile sleek – as is known for all Falco longbows. The Myth features our signature high wrist pistol grip, which is specifically designed to support the archer in a relaxed bow hand, which is the groundwork for an excellent archery form.

All Myth bows come with a bamboo core. Design-wise, the Myth comes in a wenge wood or palisander handle (upgrade possible upon request) with a lovely curved inlay that can feature any color Colorwood or another wood type inlay. The curved inlay in the handle as well as the limb design is for you as the customer to choose!

Special offer: buy this longbow and get the Falco felt longbow bag for a special price of 25€ (see here)

The Myth can be ordered with optional extras:

Khan cut (for shooting off the thumb) 25 €

  • Is string included? What sort of a string?
Yes, the model comes with a Spectra Flemish string. The number of string strands depends on the weight of the bow (14, 16 or 18)
  • Is this model IFAA/NFAA legal in ‘longbow’ division?
    No
  • Is this model WA legal in ‘longbow’ division?
Yes, but only for female shooters
  • What arrows would you recommend for this bow?
Although all main types of arrows (wooden, aluminum, carbon) could be used with this bow, the authentic choice would be to use wooden arrows. For optimum performance and highest quality, we suggest our hand-picked Premium model arrows which are the choice for many European and World Champions and medalists. The choice of wooden arrows depends on your bowand your own personal characteristics (write email@falco.ee in case of questions).

    51″ Myth @ 46#, yellowheart and palisander.
    What an absolutely beautiful bow.
The balance between the flexibility of the bamboo and the power of the carbon is spot on with a smooth powerful draw with no stacking.
The bow shoots beautifully, fast and straight and sounds fantastic on release with no hand shock with the arrows grouping close, even after one session I was getting closer groups over the bow I have been using for a year and on the field course it is unreal!.
This is a custom made bow to your own specifications, hand crafted by what can only be described as artists, the finish is fantastic, the woods blended beautifully, the grip is comfortable and gives a real sense of security when holding and even the string is matched to your wood choice.
I can’t thank Falco enough for delivering what can only be described as a work of art which has caught everyone’s eye at the club.
Don’t be a slickstick sheep or a hunterstick drone, get something individual, support an independent manufacturer, I can guarantee this bow with give you that sense of wonder and excitement we all get when we first shoot a bow.
